The 10 Things You Need to Know About The MTV Movie Awards

We’ve got quite an exciting weekend ahead of us with the MTV Movie Awards taking place on Sunday, June 5th.  If you aren’t sure what to expect at the show this weekend, don’t worry,  HitFix gives us  a list of what we need to know.





As if you needed another reason to tune in to the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. EST (6 p.m. on the left coast): Twihards will be treated to an exclusive clip from “Breaking Dawn.” Not only that, but RPattz, KStew and um, TLaut will be on hand to present it. And just to make sure you watch the red carpet pre-show (it starts at 7:30 p.m. EST along with the finale of “America’s Best Dance Crew”), MTV is planning another special first look for that as well. We’re guessing wedding stuff.


Look for a cavalcade of stars on hand to present awards and plug their own movies: Blake Lively (seen here) and Ryan Reynolds (“Green Lantern”); Danny McBride, Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari (“30 Minutes or Less”); Steve Carell (“Crazy Stupid Love”); Jason Segal and Cameron Diaz (“Bad Teacher”) and Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel and Rosie Huntington-Whitley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”).


Forget “Breaking Dawn.” Even though we’re also excited to see a new clip from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2,” the exclusive movie clip we’re really excited about is the one for “Super 8” (stars Kyle Chandler, Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning and Ron Eldard seen here). Plus, J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg are expected to be on hand for the big reveal.

Kristen Stewart "Definitely" Attending MTV Movie Awards!!

If her funny promo video wasn't confirmation enough, E! can assure you, with 100 percent certainty, that Kristen Stewart will attend Sunday's MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles.

The actress is up for three awards, including Best Kiss with Robert Pattinson.

But will shy Kris walk the red carpet? And will Rob be by her side?

"Kristen is definitely planning on attending the show on Sunday," a solid MTV source reveals to E!, exclusively. "She has made all of the necessary plans to be there. She will probably walk the red carpet, but you never know because with her, it's usually a game-time decision depending on how she feels."

We can also expect to see the premiere of the Breaking Dawn trailer during the show.

And while Kristen has made all of the necessary arrangements to be home from London in time to attend the show and pick up her awards in person, we're still not quite sure whether or not Rob will be able to break away from the Cosmopolis set in Canada.

 Hollywood Crush, loves to dole out praise for each week’s Style Superstar, analyze the fashion at red carpet events and occasionally critique some questionable celebrity sartorial choices. Now, they've decided to add a "stylist" credit to their resume and pick out our dream ensembles for the stars to strut their stuff in at the MTV Movie Awards. For their first Style the Star client, they pick the queen of edgy yet classic couture: Kristen Stewart.*


Petite KStew generally favors mini dresses on the carpet, which make her legs look miles long. Black is undoubtedly her go-to shade, though she has been branching out into colorful territory recently with a gold sequin Reem Acra dress at the People’s Choice Awards and a red Proenza Schouler gown at the Met Gala. Taylor Lautner caught filming for Movie Awards in NYC!

  

    

A couple days ago we broke the news that Taylor Lautner was going to be filming in New York City for one day, but at the time we weren’t quite sure what the shoot was for.

Thanks to one of our readers, Ariella, we found out that Taylor was indeed in NYC today filming under the title “Movie Awards”. We can only assume the shoot was a sketch for the upcoming MTV Movie awards which will air on June 5th.

Ariella spotted Taylor filming in a cab outside of City Stage around W 19th and 9th in NYC. They definitely did a good job keeping the shoot under wraps since, according to Ariella, there were no fans around.

“Breaking Dawn” preview to air at 2011 MTV Movie Awards?

If you’re waiting to catch a glimpse of footage from “Breaking Dawn”, rumor has it that a preview will air at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. It may be a sure thing, considering that previews of upcomingTwilight Saga films have been aired at the past two awards shows, and that commercial promos (such as those featuring the over-the-top fictional showbiz agent, Les Grossman, played by Tom Cruise) have specifically targeted Twilight fans.

In fact, it is hard to know what the MTV Movie Awards will do when the last Twilight Saga film has competed for its last title. Twilight Saga films have dominated both nominations and wins for the past three years. The completion of both the “Harry Potter” and “Twilight” film franchises will open doors for other (individual) films and their stars to have a better chance.

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards air on June 5th.

If it's an MTV awards show, it usually means Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and/or Taylor Lautner will be there, right?
While there's no official word...


It's likely that the Twilight trio will be at next month's MTV Movie Awards.
Why is that?
Not only are they nominees, but there's a pretty good chance the awards show will include an exclusive sneak peek of—what else?—Breaking Dawn. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Twilight footage has been shown during an MTV awards show. And it probably won't be the last, for that matter.

Robert Pattinson Talks About WFE & Other Things On MTV

Well, that went extremely well, didn't it?

Robert Pattinson is now officially a guy we want to hang out with. He comes across as a funny (you could so do "Saturday Night Live," Rob), personable and down-to-earth fella who probably likes eating pizza, watching Netflix and hanging out with his dog, Bear (shortened from "Yogi Bear," as he was called in the shelter).

RPattz sat down with MTV.com's Josh Horowitz for over a half an hour to discuss his new film, "Water For Elephants," and pretty much everything else that might be of even the slightest interest on "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," which streamed the night of March 18.

Rob first introduced an exclusive clip from the period romance, "Water For Elephants," which featured Pattinson trying to convince a platinum blonde Reese Witherspoon to jump off a moving train with him. Swoon!

Rob then answered questions from both MTV.com and a live Twitter feed and revealed quite a few interesting tidbits about... well, a lot of stuff. As there was no real coherency to the discussion (as is true with the best hanging-out sessions), here are some random highlights from the mind (and mouth) of RPattz:

-- An elephant fart is not unlike a "hurricane," and no one knows this better than Reese Witherspoon.

-- He knows the following phrases in Polish: "Kneel," "Open your mouth," "Smile" and "Pray." These are elephant commands, though taken out of context could make things very interesting on a trip to Poland.

-- He describes the upcoming love scene in "Breaking Dawn" as "pretty funny," though he reveals that director Bill Condon has definitely made the film "like a horror movie."

-- He admits he was "hungover and bloated" at the Los Angeles premiere of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

-- The female lead in David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis" has apparently been cast, but he's not allowed to say who it is. Juliette Binoche and Samantha Morton have also joined the cast.


-- There's no truth to the recent rumors that he's being courted for the "Daredevil" sequel/reboot, though he suggests that his "Eclipse" director David Slade should play "the bald guy" (meaning Bullseye).

-- He recently learned to play the cello.

-- He's never seen an episode of "Glee," despite many of his friends telling him that he must.

Rob also told a brief story involving him and some other people being in a hotel room in New Orleans and watching "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" which inspired them to all act like monkeys for a few hours, but as we're unclear of the context or what prompted the telling of such a tale, we'll just file that under "Myths and Legends."
