Empire State, which stars Liam Hemsworth, Emma Roberts, Nikki Reed, and Dwayne Johnson, has spent the past 5 weeks filming in Louisiana, but this weekend they move to New York City to continue shooting.
The movie follows two childhood friends whose plan to rob an armored car depository is put in jeopardy by a New York police officer.
There are signs for Empire State filming around 30th Ave and 33rd St in Queens on Saturday, July 7 & Sunday, July 8.
There was also a permit issued for Empire State to shoot around Hells Gate – Randall Island, using a light from Randal’s Island to light the the shoreline of Astoria on July 7, 8 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
