K Stew’s initial success began with her role opposite Jodie Foster in “Panic Room.” Dubbed a child actress from the start and thanks to her parents already in the film industry, Kristen is no stranger to the Hollywood scene. She’s been in thrillers, dramas, and quirky comical films, but what really brought Kristen from a child actress to a young actress was her role as Isabella “Bella” Swan in the film “Twilight.” With an overwhelming reception of positive reviews, 18 year old Kristen Stewart went from Tinseltown’s B-list straight to the top of the A-list, becoming one of Hollywood’s “it” girls.
Let’s take a look at Kristen Stewart’s busy year. So far she’s had three buzz-worthy films of 2012 that has kept her more than busy.
“On The Road,” an adaptation of popular American writer Jack Kerouac’s novel, is a 1950s adventure drama piece centering on the Beat Generation. Kristen Stewart plays 16-year-old Marylou, a radical change from her previous awkward-shy girl roles. In discovering individual freedom, Marylou and a group of restless youngsters travel on the road; experimenting with various drugs, hard alcohol, and of course, promiscuous sex. Kristen’s performance is full of energy and life. You’re drawn into a world where there are no limits, and it is Kristin’s provocative and sensual role as Marylou that showcases just how talented of an actress she really is.
“Snow White & The Huntsman” takes a different, and honestly refreshing, look at the classic fairy tale we all know and love. It had competition with films, like “Mirror Mirror” and the popular TV show, “Once Upon a Time,” but the fairy tale craze seems to only heighten the outstanding performances seen in this action drama piece. Kristen Stewart’s character, Snow White, is not the lovely damsel in distress, but more the feisty fighting female, who we still think is the “fairest of them all.” Kristen holds her own amongst Hollywood hotshots like Chris Hemsworth, the Huntsman, and Charlize Theron, the evil Queen Ravenna. The battle scenes are intense, the cinematography is absolutely beautiful, and the leading ladies are stunning on screen. Kristin Stewart delivers a spellbi

Twilight fans waiting for Part 2 will not be disappointed come November 2012, although they may be saddened that the end of an era (the Twilight era that is!) has finally come. Fortunately, Kristen Stewart is one Hollywood star that will continue making box-office films. She doesn’t go straightaway for the ones that will earn her an Oscar nomination; insisting that she only makes films for herself. Her very private life only makes us more interested, but as Hollywood’s highest paid actress, we also applaud her for wanting to keep things real.
