'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' Countdown: Comic-Con TwiHards Return
Get out those folding chairs, clean out that cooler, and bring plenty of sunscreen. After a year's hiatus, The Twilight Saga will be back at Comic-Con. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 panel will be in the 6,500-seat Hall H at 11:00am a week from today on July 21st. This means fans will start camping out the night before in the plaza that abuts Hall H.
So what exactly is in store for fans this year? So far, Summit Entertainment is pretty tight-lipped, but going on past experience, several things are likely. The top items to look for are footage, a fan event, and the trio, A.K.A Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart.
Aside from all the events on Thursday, July 21st there is another event, and that is the anticipated fan camping that will take place in the plaza next to the convention center. Plenty will be lining up overnight hoping to get front row seats. I decided to talk to some of the Comic Con experts in the fandom about this year’s panel. With The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 panel going first on the Hall H schedule, things maybe a little different than in the past. Veteran Comic-Con attendee @OhMyCarlisle on Twitter had this take. She felt that, “No matter where you are in the room you will see the presentation. There are large screens throughout Hall H…Just remember before camping out that…chances are you will not be in the front. If you want to ask a question, don’t try to get in the front. Head to the walls where the microphones are set up. If you try to get up to ask a question during the panel you’ll be way too late.” She also had this to say for those who are nervous about spending the night in the great outdoors, “You don’t have to camp out to get in, but you do need to arrive early. Your goal should be to be in the room, which should happen if you are there no later than 7:00am.”
